We’re big believers in the power of PR, especially when it comes to proving its value. So, when Rob and Eliza at Event Footprints invited us to help promote their webinar series on event marketing measurability, we couldn’t resist.
The series, aptly named ‘Best Foot Forward’, kicked off with an insightful session hosted by Vanessa Lovatt called The Anatomy of an Award-Winning Event Team, featuring industry leaders Faye Carter, Director of Experiential at Deloitte, and Rob Curtis, Founder of Event Footprints. Our role? Spread the word, boost awareness, and get those registrations rolling.
We launched with a press release to announce the series and encourage sign-ups for the first webinar. We measured our impact through a strategic blend of media coverage and smart use of UTM tracking, contributing a fantastic 10% of registrations. Not bad for a little PR magic, especially considering not all media outlets include clickable links!
Next was the second session, Why Attendees Do What They Do: The Psychology Behind Exceptional Experiences, featuring Victoria Matey, Event Psychology Advisor at Matey Events, alongside Rob and Vanessa. Once again, we got the word out — and this time, our efforts generated 20% of the event’s registrations.
And here’s the best part: as recognition of Event Footprints and the value of their insights grows, so will registration numbers. It’s a ripple effect, and we’re thrilled to see the momentum building.
So, does PR work? Absolutely. As part of a well-rounded marketing toolkit, it’s invaluable for boosting event visibility, building brand credibility, and driving tangible results.
Here’s to the next webinar, we’ll be cheering from the front row.
